Q: What are the photography shop opening hours?
Our hours are Monday - Saturday 9.30 -5.30, Tuesday late appointments available until 8pm
Q: How do I find your photography shop?
We can be found at 123 High Street, Newport, Shropshire. Click here for a map of our location.
Q: Do I need an appointment?
It is better to make an appointment, especially on a Saturday, as we give priority to those with an appointment, but we will always try to fit you in if you are prepared to wait. It is not as necessary during the week but still advisable. You are always more than welcome to browse at any time.
Q: How long will my appointment take?
We want you to look and feel fantastic therefore please allow up to 2 hours as it's a big decision.
Q: How long does it take to order a dress?
Most dresses take 16 weeks for delivery. You will also need to allow time for your fittings which ideally is 1 to 2 months before your big day.
Q: What if I have not allowed enough time to order my dress?
We carry a large stock of dresses. The dresses range from size 6 - 22.
Q: Is it true that I will wear one size bigger in my wedding dress?
Unfortunately, this is the case. Most wedding dress collections are sized smaller, usually because they are cut to a couture size chart. Once you have selected your gown you will be measured and the appropriate size will be ordered.
Q: Are alterations always necessary?
Most girls do need some kind of alteration even if it is only the length. With two highly experienced seamstresses to hand you have nothing to worry about.
Q: What items will I need for my dress fittings?
You will need to bring everything that you will be wearing with your dress, your lingerie, petticoat ans shoes. Changing these items after your first fitting can dramatically affect the way the dress fits.
Q: How do I pay for my dress?
You will be asked to pay a deposit when you place your order and the balance when the dress arrives at the photography shop. Where the gown is ordered many months in advance we do offer the option of a simple payment scheme for the deposit. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cash or cheques.
Q: Do you accept returns on bridal wear?
No. All sales are final. This policy is consistent with the industry standard for bridal.
Q: Should the bridesmaid dresses match the wedding gown?
It is better to buy the bridesmaids dresses after the gown, therefore allowing you to carry a theme through, however small, to link the dresses together.
Q: What if my bridesmaids are all different sizes?
You need your bridesmaids to feel confident, look good in the photographs and enjoy the big day. Sometimes brides choose similar dresses but with subtle changes to ensure each girl looks her very best. Many of the bodices come with straight or A line skirts. Larger arms can be hidden with either a matching stole or we can simply add sleeves.
Q: Do you sell shoes?
Yes, we have a range of shoes available. Orders can be placed once full payment has been taken.
Q: Do you sell veils?
Yes. If you do not see the style or colour you wish to order then please ask. Veils are also available, along with tiaras, for hire.
Q: Do you take telephone orders?
Yes we do. When placing an order on the telephone you will need to have your credit/debit card details available.

Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life. The Catering for Weddings .com knows this, having had our Head Chef as a "bridezilla" herself1 The organisation and coordination for the day has to be just right. We can provide the food and assist in the coordination, from colour schemes to menu planning, all to help your day to be so special you will never forget it.
